Just been reading Isaac Asimov’s (1972) The Beginning and the End.The idea of a moon colony as a good jumping-off point for the rest of our Sol system is still a good one.There just was no money put into it, and this was followed by a $Billion cleaning up the Columbia disaster, which was also not replaced.
