The Boondocks by Aaron McGruder for October 28, 2013
Transcript:
Huey: Riley, we're not in Chicago anymore... These people are well-off... comfortable. These are not the hard streets of the south side. Do you understand what I'm trying to say? Riley: I think so. I'm the hardest, baddest thing for miles, and I can run amok here without fear. Huey: No, let me try this again.

I wish McGruder would start the comic strip again. I guess that there might not be enough editors willing to take the heat for running the strip to justify the effort in writing one. Right before he stopped there were lots of complaints sent to my local newspaper.

Yeah, my local newspaper dropped both this one and Curtis after only a year each. At least they still run Jump Start. I can understand with this one, because of the edginess, but I think they should have at least kept Curtis.

Almost an interesting cliffhanger there. Huey, Riley, Ceasar & Jazmine are off to “start the Revolution”. Then there’s a one-off color strip, then it restarts.

What if McGruder did a series like Funky Winkerbean? Since this Series ended in 06, the new series takes off in ’13 or ’14 and we see the kids all grown up. perhaps they can do flashbacks to key points in history?
