Racism, prejudice and bigotry are not necessarily evil. They are just human conditions. Intelligence, to recognize your prejudice, helps.

This reminds me of growing up. Camarillo, California, farm community about an hour and 100 years outside Los Angeles. The Watts Riots hit, and I asked my best friend, Oliver, what was going on. He was Black, his dad was an English Professor at college, he should know. He didn’t.
