It’s so hard being a parent. It’s takes patience, lots of water, and fertilizer.
Very sweet, especially after the week we’ve just had. With just a touch of Sterling for contrast.
Cutest sleepy Wallace I’ve ever seen
I know the feeling, Wallace. I’m waiting for things to sprout, too.
Nice that the flower up top follows the sun.
Sterling not allowed near eggplant
Shwaps? Looks a little like some reflection of Ordinary Bill adventure, but I can’t place it.
A watched flower pot never boils.
Does anyone know the history behind Shwaps like what is the story line or is it just a name in the strip?
The flower following the sun is a great detail!
Ha, Sterling pops up like a subliminal message!!
I love the flower in the pot on the railing turning to follow the sun and closing when it gets dark. Wonderful! Thank you Mr. Henry…Lovely strip.
I have had some come up in 36 hours!! Usually start in 3 or 4 days. But my Delphiniums are stubborn, it’s been a month and nothing yet.
I wonder if Wallace planted another apocalypse scorpion pepper plant.
And Seagull was never seen again…
And so a young man learns the value of patience.
A watched pot never blooms.
Awww.
Ah. Sterling has either escaped or has been released from custody.
On to the next caper!
I think we’re all on board for whatever you want to do Mr. Henry
He definitely stays focused if he is really interested. A good trait but it’s time for bed my boy……
Wallace the Brave trivia question:
What is Spud’s middle name?
First comic I read today. Really gave me a lift. Very sweet story told in full. As a newbie I am so glad I found you
I love the flower detail: moving as the sun moves, then closing for the night.
Watching the clothes dryer would be more interesting.
Sweet.
what the heck is this about?what the heck is shwap? (nothing)
Mother nature, in her own time. The first sprout is always a thrill. Now to worry about protecting it day and night.
Oh, so lovely. I adore this, Will.
Love how the flower on the railing follows the sun all day, then closes up for the night. Also love Seagull’s expression when the feral one shows up!
Title panel: Several plants in various household items (including a colander and an old shoe) sitting on the deck railing.
The flower is watching the sun, Wallace is watching the pot; at night, they both go to sleep: Wallace plants a seed, then he acts like a plant for a day.
I can think of worse ways to spend a day.
This is beautiful.
