A Knife. I will stop carrying a pocket knife when retailers stop wasting plastic on consumer proof packaging. Knowing the trick of how to tear a phonebook in half helps.

I am a responsible dog owner and have empty dooky bags in just about all my pockets. When doing laundry, I always have to double check the pockets, since I fold the empty baggies up so I can get several in a small pocket. No fence, so we walk all over the place every day.
