Even if a dog is well trained, and I know ours is, you don’t know about any dog if you are a stranger to it, and it might be trained to bite you when you extend your arm toward it…so keep on walking…

I find letting them come to you then scratch their ears and back, avoiding where a microchip might be is best.

Good advice Poncho. Though, in truth, I’d be wary of letting any kid get to near the tail elevator button back there. They just might push it.
