That’s the dream of the Republican party of Trump. They are doing everything they can to end it. Then they’ll be able to take care of all the Navalnys without interference by those pesky laws.
got news for you…technically we are not a democracy…ancient Athens was a democracy, everyone (well, males over the age of 20, to be precise) had to vote on every issue that came up…we are a republic, we send representatives to vote for us on the issues of the day…with modern technology we could actually become a democracy, everyone would have to be issued a government computer and have government internet service, but it is possible
I’m reminded of a scene from Roxanne. Steve Martin puts a quarter in the slot and takes out the newspaper. Glances at the front page, starts screaming, frantically gets another quarter for the slot, and throws the paper back in.
Have you considered they are not talking about our Republic (That’s Our Republic, NOT Democracy). Instead, they are talking about more and more newspapers are going under.

Republic , look it up. We are currently living under a dictator, check his record, without the lens of bias and hatred that lives here everyday.

Re Robin, Republicans repeat lies and wishful thinking until people forget they’re lies.

Really dated in one way, timeless in another.
