It could work if you had a laptop and access to the Internet. People would come to you and ask what they should buy for someone. You make suggestions and order it for them (with a percentage going to you).
If the store wouldn’t agree to the commission you’d set up outside it and recommend another store. Hand out coupons for specials and get paid by the head. Sell pencils on the side. Riches!
