Yes, at Amelia’s age I too wanted nothing more than to get out of the slow poke town with nowhere to go and nothing to do. Oh, how I craved the bright lights of the big city….

I grew up in a small New England town like Snug Harbor and it was great with so many places to explore. I did not want out until I turned 12 and wanted more mature activities, like bowling, shopping, DATING, movies, etc. A town with 0 movie screens, only 6 bowling LANES, 1 pool table, etc, does not give a whole lot of options for dating. And going to the old swimming hole is only viable for about a month out of the year.

Hey any place that offers Kazoo lessons isn’t boring or a slowpoke! That’s cutting edge.

How can any town with Sterling in it be considered boring?

I think Rose loves her town. Maybe a day Amelia will do that too.
