hi Dry. i love Neil Young’s music! his father was a sportswriter of some note, in Canada, and also wrote several novel - mainly for kids. i have three of those that i remember from my childhood. anyways, breakfast. (before the Tribe starves.

start with the drinks. cocomocha; nuclear coffee; cran razz, apple and orange juice. then the food. omelets of all sorts as long as they include any or all of the following ingredients (with the eggs). mushrooms; diced ham, tomato, onion, green pepper, and/or jalapeno; back bacon bits; and crumbled sausage patties. pancakes with maple syrup (and butter for those who like butter with their pancakes. also a selection of jams and jellies to go on toasted English muffins. bon appetit!

Carmy the CN Tower is FANTASTIC! Going up the outside elevator freaked me out but I refused to let it get to me! It was the experience of a lifetime! ABSOLUTELY! Yguy said he went up at night the one time. I love city lights at night! That would have been SO COOL to see, Toronto all lit up at night!

Shika move! i went on to face book briefly, and popped back in one time before signing off for the night. saw and listened to the “Mudcrutch” link. good stuff! i have a couple of Petty’s early albums on vinyl, so this was appreciated. as for CN Tower at night, it was very cool. the neat thing is that you see farther than just Toronto from up there. in 1981, it wasn’t quite as “filled in” as it is now, so there were visible gaps in the lights. i imagine that it would look even brighter now. you’ve inspired me. i’m going to have to make another trip up there before summer ends to take some new photos. when i went up there was no Skydome, even, and there’s a lot more downtown now, too. now definitely “good night, Tribe.”

I don’t think the Sears tower is nearly as tall as the CN tower, but I know it’s tall! Either way, that would be really cool too! I’ve discovered that being up that high is pretty neat because you see SO much!

As usual, we got just enough warm air (36) to melt the snow as soon as it fell. Got up to wet, but not white ;C( Oh well, maybe next month.

I had a chance to go to the top of the World Trade Center a few years before 9/11. I had to wonder if any of the people that I saw who worked there were still at the tower on that fateful day.

Doc I remember winters like that in North Dakota. It took something pretty incredible for them to close schools. Out here we get a splattering of snow and that’s all it takes.

It finally did stop snowing here, Ann Arbor is usually so dry, I can’t believe how much snow we got, and yet everyone is still going, they don’t do a very good job of clearing the roads over here though.

Good morning all!!! dad woke me up at about 8:30 to tell me he was leaving beau was still in the shop to take him out and put him on his leash in a few so he can eat drink and go. then put him back in. well i got up about 10 and dogs on his lease. his water bucket is a 5 gall bucket and its frozen from top to bottom so i had to get an ice cream bucket for him to use insted.

morning Tribe after yesterday’s very late night (not just here) i don’t have much time for important things like comics. wind chill here today works out to -4F, which isn’t too bad. tomorrow’s high should be mid teens Fahrenheit without the wind chill, so i may get out to the pond for photos. time for toons! stay warm, everyone.

No Cleo takes about 5 mins. and I’m off every Friday. The roads aren’t bad, it’s the wind today!

yyyguy, I have spent the last 3 days in my darkroom printing some old b&w negatives. I’ve got to get out and start shooting some more. At present I am still trying to decide how much I want out of a new digital camera.

cleo hes been sleeping in the shope with a heater and a ben bag chair and a blanket hes nice and warm, pluse ths shop is inslated so hes fine. right now hes not happy bc hes out in the cold for a little while, but he has to go so i can put him back in.

one of the things i looked up last night was my first, tentative foray into the Big Top. it was a touch over 5 months ago, the night of Carmy’s party, on Aug 5th. it seems like i’ve been here much longer than that (no, not today).

Yguy you cant be rushing the historian man. lol glad you foud you, i was slowly getting there. i have to be done my tuesday, i start school wend. but i am reading it all so i am a little slow.

Well some of my electrical work is finished. Now we are searching for my wife’s car keys. They have been missing since yesterday and unfortunately the trash was taken this morning, before the idea hit me that they might be there.

Cleo that is something i would do… poor thing. check the trunk of the car! thats where mine was. :)

That’s not good Cleo, losing things in the trash tends to mean replacements must be bought.

Tabby thanks but we checked the trunk. johnnyd, I am still hoping they turn up. Fortunately, she found a spare, which she didn’t think she had, but it doesn’t have push button lock. We also had a key to our storage unit on it and our bike rack. forunately I have a key to those, but I would buy and new padlock for our storage, because I would hate to lose my keys and have to get someone to pick the lock.

Tabby & johnnyd- I found them. I took a powerful flashlight and found them wedged between the seat down by the track for adjusting the seat backwards and forwards. Motivation, she had just finished calling to find out how much for a replacement, over 200 dollars and over 100 for just another key like her duplicate. Volkswagens, nothing is cheap to replace on those cars.

Cleo—Ouch on the cost of replacements for VW’s. I have replaced keys for customers. All German vehicles are expensive for replacement keys! Most domestics are getting that way too because there are readable chips in many now a days for the computer systems..

My old Taurus key is still only about $5 at the nearest dealership–I could get it done at a regular key cutter, but it’s a little too long for most machines…

When I get inside, I forget just how frigid it is, and think, “It really can’t be that bad…”

James definitely has all the snow he wanted this weekend.

My morning routine is make coffee, fetch the newspaper, record rain, highs and lows and when coffee is ready heading to gocomics. Reading the newspaper which used to be in the position gocomics now holds, takes place after a hot tub and during my breakfast. My wife is on her second breakfast when I have my first. She immediately eats upon rising, which I just can’t do. I do not have anything to eat for about 3 hours after getting up. I eat way less in a day than LG does, yet she ways 110 pounds. I am slim, but I need to eat with an eye to remaining slim. She eats healthy foods all day long.

Dry that was such a good movie. Oops, I have just heard the dinner gong. Toodle - ooo!

so i found where i left off at.

The way I keep myself from putting on weight is to keep the things that I can’t stop eating out of the house. Chips are my number one nemesis. For me it is true, I can’t stop at just one. Nuts are another one. My cousin from Texas sent me a big bag of very fresh mixed nuts. I thought that I had been sharing them with my wife. The other day I said, “Well, I guess we finished off Susan’s bag of nuts.” My wife replied that she had eaten 3.
