Reburying a bone is more not keeping all your eggs (Easter timely) in one basket. To truly diversify his assets he’d need to not have more than just bones.
Back when I had my Wolf Dog, I use to get the Large Milk Bones and most time he’d eat them right then ….. but every once in awhile he’d take one outside and bury it …… then about a month or so later he’d go dig it up ……. of course it was a pretty rainy season so by the time he went to dig it up …… it had softened and dissolved …. Poor Dog would dig and sniff, dig and sniff, dig and sniff ……. then he’d poke his muddy nose and head ……… out of the hole and would look at me with such a puzzled look ……. ;)
