LADYWOLF When I was young (and cheap) I had use of a free farmhouse. All I had to do was collect the pheasant eggs from 13 hen houses, clean them,, number them, and put them in the incubator. Nobody told me that the male birds (bleeep) would attack you and peck you bloody as you stole their hen’s eggs, I developed a taste for pheasant eggs in retaliation.Three pheasant eggs equal about one chicken egg. So go out in the hen house and grab a dozen, then use your wonderful culinary skills to make me an omelet. Watch out for the bleeep

I need to start getting ready. I am helping out a friend and puttting a fan motor in for his HVAC unit. He’s been without a/c since the storm the other day. They wanted $400 to come out and do it and he got the motor for less than $175. He doesn’t have a lot of money to blow. No pun intended.

My friend has his a/c up and running again! He and the mrs. are in the process of soaking up the a/c and I am here making sure mine works. He’s getting me a 12 pack of Corona and one complimentary Mexican breakfast from our favorite place. Cool deal!

yyyguy - I was thinking of you last evening when I was out taking pictures of the clouds in the sky. Some of them reminded me of cotton candy, but there were many interesting clouds. The sunset in the west wasn’t bad, but it was neat looking east and seeing the pink clouds that direction. I’ve posted them to PB.

Having perused the discussion of RwB’s name, and the opinion (on beer) of a certain youthful lady among us, I am reminded of this song–please note the critter at about 1:05…

CFL for me. i used to tell people that NFL had talent and marketing but CFL had the better game. 4 downs to make 10 yards seemed to make for a more conservative offensive. the wider field and unlimited motion seems to create more action. i would love to see NFL talent using Canadian rules. offensive stats would soar, but games would still be exciting as all get out. (and it might remove some of the impetus for athletes to use HGH or other chemical cheats, since sheer size and strength are not the most important attributes for athletes in our sport.)

LADYWOLF - I had a Labrador when I was hunting and like dogs. When I was gone a lot though I switched to cats as they were better to leave by themselvs.

I’ll probably take Chica to the pound and allow her to get acquainted with the puppy I have chosen.

Cats will start eating you after you die before the body is even cold. Dogs usually wait until they are near starving. Or that is what I heard. We had a cat at the time. I made sure I slept with the cat outside my closed door, in case I died in my sleep.

It’s something to see how retrivers can be trained! Most dogs can be trained for a lot of things. My cat understands 5 words (I think), fetches things I throw, and never tries to go outside (has always been an inside cat).

LuvH8 - I heard the same thing about cats but figured if I was dead it wouldn’t matter to me! LOL

I do not recall Joe (JAD) ever lecturing me on anything, but then again, I have learned to avoid his comments when he is acting all snooty.

Doc - My filter didn’t block your link. I went to see just who this Lady Gaga is, but I couldn’t stand to watch the whole video - just too gross!

I have also used “freaking” along with words like “Drats”. If Joe (JAD) does not like it, then to “Freaking” bad. None of us should have to change for his benefit.

Doc - It is really weird with YouTube. Videos that probably are okay are blocked, and ones like that get through. I think the filter keys off of words, so it depends on what the comments say.

I’m not thrilled about the word “freaking”, although I might say someone is a freak, or that someone freaked out. However, I realize I’d much rather see that, then the word it is replacing. Grace is a concept that Joe hasn’t learned to give to others.

Now that I’m older, I’ll go to do something while I’m waiting on something else, get caught up in the new task and totally forget what I was doing previously.
