I think so, although that 25% could be split between my son & the woman who was behind him, I guess. Unfortunately, none of the drivers received a citation. KS has a “no fault” law, which I’m not sure exactly how that works. The KHP said they wanted to give the tow truck driver a citation, but couldn’t find an acceptable reason. The tow truck had a burnt out tail light and no reflective material, so it was put out of service (a cop followed the tow truck from the scene). The truck driver claimed that the vehicles (my son and the woman behind him) were racing and never slowed down. However, the woman said that my son slammed his brakes on, and who has heard of a 43 year old woman racing in a SUV, behind another car? Granted, my son accelerated quickly, but I could and did accelerate as quickly with my PT. (Had the opportunity a few days later driving at the same location.) Not what I’d consider racing.

It was interesting. I had to pay $3.50 to the state to get a copy of the report, including the 3 drivers’ statements. There was a diagram of the scene at the point the KHP showed up, but no pictures are yet available But the KHP states that the tow truck’s end was in the left lane, the street was dark, and so it was impossible to see the part of the truck that stuck out into the lane.

HopeandJoy! No Cookie For You!!! It has been over two years since I saw the snake on the deck. I still have to check the bathroom! Now, you are talking SNAKES IN THE HOUSE!!!

(thoroughly shakes out and searches blanket, wraps up self, leans against wall with clear view of possibly approaching snakes, starts sucking thumb and rocking)

It looks like I came back just in time to say goodnight to everyone.

SorryLuvH8 but I just remembered the incident with the snake because some people were talking about snakes. [now may I have a cookie?]

Rather brutal actually. We were seated as we will stand felt strange all jumbled up but it will be fine when we get to the church where we sing and can practice coming in “2x2” just like Noah, you know. We had bell group and a celloist to work with and a man who plays a wooden recorder to run through his piece with us.

It was amazing, but we did get through all the music with the instructions to watch our consonants, watch how we say “our” no midwest twang, you know. We know the music…just need to sing it as she wants. We are really lucky to have the director and organist/pianist we have.

    Thanks for asking, Sojo…..and I guess I don’t get a cookie….(sigh)

HopeandJoy, of course you can have cookies. Did no one tell you saying no is the part of being a mom I am really bad at?

Are you going to record it and play it for us all? (I don’t have a clue how.)

Are you going to sing Nuttin’ For Christmas?

Tee hee…We will record it and I will buy the cd for $10 but I don’t have any idea how to get it where you can hear it…so just imagine. We do a mix of fun, popular, and classical Christmas. I think I told you about a song entitled *Thirty-second fa-la-la.” It is so fast and so much fun to sing.
