My Mountain Man is out there now shoveling the drive way…..hopefully the neighborhood association sends out the snowplow sometime today to clear the roads to the paved road (3 miles)

Grog - I don’t want my husband to not take any vacation, but it is nice to have plenty available, so if I want to take a long weekend trip, or some emergency comes up, it isn’t quite so difficult for him to take off work. Of course, until they hired some people, he had so much work that he really couldn’t take off, as there wasn’t anyone to cover him. He still has plenty to keep him busy (job security) but at least he can take off between Christmas & New Year’s this year, even though the factory isn’t shutting down.

Is okay Bmonk, I will have Humbug (SkyGazer) leave you something special.

Sojo - Did you get out while the weather was reasonably decent? If it wasn’t for the breeze, I wouldn’t have worn my jacket at all. But a cold front is to move in tonight, so about 10 degrees cooler tomorrow, I hear. I was glad I’d decided to do my errands today, instead of waiting until tomorrow or Wednesday. The weather was better, but the traffic was already pretty bad. I hate to think what it will be like the next few days! At least my sons & I made a couple library stops, so we’ve got books to keep us occupied on the trip.

Well I have to get dinner started. Be back after dinner.

One of my neighbors won a Guarenteed White Christmas Contest. They have forewarned us that it’s going to be loud around 5:30 AM on Christmas Day when they dump the snow. I’m usually awake anyway, whether or not I want to be so it won’t bother me - especially if the snow is being dumped on someone else’s lawn. Heheh. Might be strange to see though, with only one white lawn in the whole area.

Funny how I moved down here to avoid seeing snow. This will now be the third year in a row that I’ll see it - though this time it won’t be on my lawn.

Exactly. I always worried when the Cowboys swept a series with a division rival and had to play them again in the playoffs. Winning twice against a good team is pretty good but the third time is pushing it.
