Good morning all. Can I get 3 over easy, bacon, and four fried chickens and a coke, please.

I’m late. Power was out, no computer. no power, no WiFi, no laptop. My Dunkin Donuts has no WiFi, no laptop, but good coffee. The WiFi at the hospital is on a network. Woe is me. I had to read the comics in print.

I came home to power and could have brewed a pot (my Dunkin Donut debit card being maxed out), but I decided I needed DOC TOON’S WORLD FAMOUS NUCLEAR COFFEE.

The trials and tribulations of finding a good cup of Java and a good toon to enjoy it with. You think the Pope should Canonize me?

I just want to cover all at the same time. Wow the man asking Dusty question closly resembles Dr. Phil and I’m not home when that show is on. I wasn’t asked that type of question for jury duty. My poor mom when I was in Jr. high was on jury duty for 6 months. Turns out inmate sued fo medical malpractice. Juriors were at that time starting to get bored.

I have only served on one jury and it was a grand jury. One of the selected jurors was determined to have a high blood alcohol level after the trial started and was removed. The defense and the prosecution agreed to have an 11 person jury decide the outcome rather than go through another selection process. The trial was for 6 days and I had to drive into KC downtown. My mileage was covered however. Interesting trial in the Court of Appeals.

Close to bedtime in England, I see….well it is 9 pm I saw an interesting history program on Cleopatra, the killer She certainly did away with threats to her throne including the possibility of her sister Arsinoe

I read earlier today that the kind of snake Cleopatra might of commited suicide with escaped from the Bronx Zoo. It can kill a person in 15 min. They have yet to find it. See here.

Rmom, I guess the minor leaguers start earlier. They will broadcast the local Astros games here and of course I don’t care about them. I won’t be able to see nearly as many Red Sox games as I’d like because they are not in my market.

I’m not as crazy about baseball as I am about football though.

Grog - WSU is Wichita State University - Shockers. The minor league here is the Wichita WingNuts.

No idea. A bolt of lightning?

Grog - It would make sense, but no… Their mascot is named “WU Shock” and he’s a sheaf of wheat. (“Shocking” was part of the wheat harvest process before machines.) The WU is pronounced Woooo, and WSU used to be Wichita University before it became state-owned.

For some reason, Kansans like unusual mascots.

I’m sure Kansas wouldn’t be the only one. There was a time the Montreal Expos had stupid ugly looking baseball head mascott.. Fortunately, it didn’t last too long.

What do you call that, I wonder.
