If nothing else, it should encourage the kids to learn cooking for themselves.

As they say, “When mom’s on a diet, EVERYONE is on a diet.” Problem is, this is the regular crap she always cooks.

I continue to be grateful that not only was my mother a very good cook, she hardly ever strayed from the meat/starch/two veg type of menu she learned from Betty Crocker in the 50’s.

were there any actual calories in that food? I also know this is rule of funny but in the real world this is a form of abuse, diet obsessed parents forcing growing children and teens to live on a low calorie diet leading to malnutrition and stunted development.

I try to make tasty but healthy dinners, mainly because of my hypertension. I’m the cook, so everyone benefits from it, too.

She could take a few lessons from Betty (see today’s Betty strip) who obviously knows something about sales and marketing.
