Hi, Doc! I suppose you’ll have to stock more ice cream and popsicles now that summer is here?

I do hope Gocomics gets around to fixing that bug soon. It is weird that it works some days, but not every day.

My guess is that the day shift will only refill it, if a customer asks if they’ve got any more Popsicles in back. That, or the day crew wants an excuse to get cooled off.

And only of the Big Top strip!

To me that should make it easier to fix. The comment program part of each strip I would think would be the same. Correcting what is different about this strip I would think would be easy to track down. Anyway, that’s my thinking, there may be more to it than that.

And it works for some but not others seems weird. The list of those when it doesn’t work seems to be growing. If you go back to previous days, when it worked it still does and when it didn’t it still won’t. That shows me it’s on their end and might be more than what I mentioned earlier.

Since the refresh seems to work about every other day, why don’t we just keep our conversations going on the strips it does work for everyone? for example if tomorrow the refresh doesn’t work, we converse on today’s stripThen we move forward the next time the strip refreshes for everyone.

Well at least it’s convenient, Doctor Toon. That may not always be the case in Texas.

Good Morning LuvH8 – Sounds like a good idea! Sometimes it doesn’t work even two days in a row, sometimes it works for several days. When it doesn’t work going to the last day it did might be a good idea.

A bishop is a high muckity-muck, isn’t he? So it is bound to be super formal and terrifying. The majority of the people don’t really want me there anyway, even if they will be offended if I don’t show. Does anyone have any good excuses to skip my grandma’s funeral & stuff? Unfortunately it is a bad time for bodily injury, though I am considering the merits of food poisoning.

I like Luv’s suggestion about continuing our conversation on whichever previous day the refresh button works. Sojo – probably just a simple notice of “for BT tribe conversation, see Saturday” or something like that.

Well gee, if I lived closer I could give you a walker or a wheelchair (except I would probably get yelled at. One of Gma’s walkers has big wheels and you could lock them and sit down on the walker itself if you get too tired. It also came with a basket for your purse and whatnot. I imagine those are pretty spendy though.You could consider having one of your men carry about one of those camp chairs that come in their own carrying bag for about $15. They are really easy to carry over the shoulder and fairly light.

But there will be three things that cause extreme anxiety all at once: lots of people, a religious ceremony inside a religious event, family, people that may want to talk to me or worse yet offer sympathy and hugs, a daughter that doesn’t want to be there either so will be asking when we can leave, people expecting sympathy….. Okay that is more than three things. I think it is time to take the chicken out of the freezer. Does anyone know how to make salmonella?

LuvH8 – Don’t over think it. You can just attend a short bit and then leave when ready maybe?

Rmom – Have a good trip to Wal-Mart later. They make lifts for scooters (for inside or outside in back of the vehical) if you need it permanently.

They have lifts lhat fit into the trailer hitch or on the back of the vehical. Some keep the scooter behind the vehical and some put the scooter in the back but you might need at least a mini van for that, I don’t know. You can google scooters and lifts to get an idea of what’s out there.,

Hello Saucy! Rmom, you should also look on Amazon. I found some equipment there for Gma that was about a third of the price and in some cases better than the stuff the physical therapist was selling Gma. Sojo, I think that Monkey2 and I will be expected to stay for the entire service as well as a few hours of that social thingy afterwards. Maybe if I can prove I wasat the hospital getting stitches?

Memorial services help bring closure to the prople attending them. Attending the part you need to or attending at all is what you should determine for yourself. If not attending may cause you more problems in the future that is something to think about. Perhaps if anyone might be there you would like to see you could visit with them and then leave.

Smiley Mom there is usually enough curb close to the store that your husband or son could drop you off right there. If you lean heavily on your cane and look fragile most people won’t mind… and if it doesn’t take longer than three minutes to get out of the vehicle.

It works nice if there is a convenient bench too. Huh, maybe you could get a portable bench seat to make them carry around.

Tea cup? Are you going to get a PO box so we can all send thrift store finds of tea cups to you? Maybe you should get an unbreakable one?

SMILRY R MOM count your blessings. My Mom can’t get a parking sticker because you don’t need two arms to walk. She can’t drive a standard because she only has one arm. Government logic can’t see there were not many automatics around in 1942 when she got her licence. She is allowed to drive a motorcycle. We only have one handicapped parking sticker on a Harley in our state.

Good Morning, Everybody……..Couldn’t load Sunday’s comments, so I’m using yesterday’s strip to talk at ya………I could use a simple breakfast today……too much ribs last night! Oh well……..maybe just some oatmeal with a few raisins thrown in. and, of course, DWFNC, tooRMom……did you check out Costco for that walker with a seat? It’s around 85 dollars, I think. I had to use one for a while when my spinal stenosis was acting up. Couldn’t walk more than a few feet, and then had to sit. It was really great to have……gave me all kinds of independence.

I needed to step away for a bit. I’ve got my son cutting the “back forty” of our lot. No, it’s not 40 acres, just an extended lot that I refer to as the “back forty”. I can’t stay out there too long with both my allergies and my sinus infection bothering me. :^)

How was practice last night ♠Lonewolf♠?

SojoPractice went well. Later in the evening I was invited to a wedding party at a home residence. Best way I can put this is it was not a straight wedding. The girls are friends of mine, so Wolfangil met me and we went together. Quite a difference in age between this rather large group of friends. Mind you, there are others that are in our age group, but mostly younger. I know most of them through the pool leagues and pool tournaments. Had a great time and stayed later than expected. Man, how times have changed! :^)

I have had to this before, had to order an out of state duplicate of my license, took 10 days to get that. Then had to go the SS admin and get a new SS card using the birth certificate. Then had to take both items to the BMV to get my license. All told, took nearly 2 and half weeks of beurocratic bullhuckey to take care of it. Wish they had been able to just use my DNA. Would have been less painful
