Personally, I find it difficult to take poodles seriously., no matter what kind they are

While unwillingly walking HER pooch of many noble lines, I met this swell fella wearing short shorts and nothing else walking a French Poodle. While the two canines inspected each other from stem to stern, I felt obliged to converse with this “man” with the self made lisp. The upcoming Yankee/Sox match did not seem the best subject matter, as did the new 20 something girl in building 3. Politics and religion are taboo, so I ended up hearing about the trouble with unlicensed dog groomers. DOG FOR SALE. Free to a good, er, any home.Why are the PC police knocking at my door at this early hour?GROG could I please have a cup of that heavenly revitalizing elixir?

I will never use that mutt as a chick magnet again.

OK, I lied.I love Co-eds coming and asking the sweet little puppy’s name while I try to convince her we should bring to noble canine to meet her cat.

And it’s going to be even hotter for us today, Doc The heat index is already 98 on a temperature of 86, with the temperature supposedly heading up toward 100. So the heat index shound be close to about 110.

How’s the weather treating you today, Sojo? We have some cooler weather, but still moderately humid.

It’s still ih the low to mid 100’s for the next week. Very slight chance of light rain in a few days.

Supposed to reach 106° today.

We have a chance of rain starting Monday or so—gradually warmer until then, and then a bit cooler as the (presumed) front moves through.

Already 100° now and tomorrow it’s supposed to reach 107°.

That’s to hot for me Sojo I would have to carry my Excederin, and I’m trying not to.

That’s why I’m inside with the A/C. Except I do have to go outside for a bit soon.

Well surprisingly to me I was called in to go to work so I have to take off in a half hour.

Extra Money!

Extra headache too.

Looks like only one good afternoon all. I spend my Saturday’s am working at my mom’s house and spending her money for food for her. We are making sure no sugar. Her weight has stabled, bad she needs to gain, phoey. Her bleeding still continues. Thursday is the day. Dread 4am. Wednesday nothing but liquid meals and one extra per doctor.

Weather is great. I was standing outside the bus shelter (which they haven’t air conditioned yet despite the politicians claims last Nov) watching the bustling business at the local package store. People walking in with nothing and walking out with small bags. I haven’t drunk in a decade but I never remember leaving with a small bag. Do I have false memories, has society changed, or is it a good thing I quit when I did?

Just got back from attending a wedding. It was at 4:00 and outside in the sun with no breeze. I think it was 107° then.

Wow. Quiet day. Not even up to a page under the old way yet.

Hi Sojo. We’re only just escaping that ring of fire thing as they call it. It should be hotter tomorrow and, I think, the rest of the week as the high pressure system dominates more and we dry out .

That’s the mother of all high pressure systems, and for the moment, it’s keeping the hurricanes away.

That high has been sitting on top of Kansas for some time now. I’ll be glad when it moves away.

Are you sure? Won’t the severe weather return if it does? It’s kind of one of the reasons why I liked Dallas in the summer months. Hated the spring time tornado watches & warnings.

It should cool down and get rain now and then when it moves. We’ve had 29 days 100 or more so far this year and it is really dry.

I like dry. :-)

And I hate it when LuvH8 tosses me in the ocean. It’s almost as humid as Houston.

Even with new mulch and regular watering, many of my flowers in front of my porch are dieing.

I was never a flower person and I wasn’t into gardening. So I was happy and having green grass (and I did) was a bonus.

I’m having a harder time keeping my grass green here. Go figure.

Dry is okay with me too (and I lke it dry in the summer), but getting rain once and a while is also good. The farmers here are having a hard time. They are lossing crops and having to sell their cattle etc. because they don’t have feed for them. Milk production is also down.

A few lakes here have completly dried up.

The price you pay for getting too much in the spring?

We actually made it to page 2.

I’m use to torndoes etc. as I have lived here my entire life.

Evil Brain from Outer Space is starting on TV now. I’ll see what that’s like.

That sounds like cornball sci-fi.

It’s a 1965 Japanese film combining 3 shows together to make a movie. Really bad.See here.

Might switch to a John Wayne movie when I switch to my bedroom soon. I get different stations in my living room and bedroom.

Sojo, I couldn’t even get into Godzilla, which by our standards was entertaining, but I’ll watch some of the King Kong movies of the period – and the original was a classic!

Fort Apache was on TCM earier today.

Time to call it a night.
