As for Mighty Mouse, I am speachless. There are always those who are dealt more than their fair share of lifes problems, but I think she is fortunate to have parents like yourselves. You’ll all get through this additional blow.

M’Lady, I’m glad the news is good as it is, and I hope you recover quickly! At least you have daughters to help.Doc – Sorry about the news, but I’m glad Mighty Mouse is taking it so well. I had a very close friend who had several diabetes, my FIL has it now, and my hubby is a diet controlled diabetic, so I’ve learned about coping with it. It does complicate life, but lots of people have lived a long life with it.

Just a word of explanation why I’m not going to be on chatting much…

I did a little asking & research on my heart situation, since my cardiologist seemed so concerned that I get immediate medical attention, if I even think I might be having a heart attack. I found out that I’ve got less than one hour to get angioplasty from the time a heart attack starts until I’m dead, because of where my blockage is at (LAD artery). I found out from my cardiologist how it is possible to have a heart attack with a less than 100% blockage, which means I could have one any time. I could also live for years, if I don’t have one. Only God knows the future, but it is like the odds of a car wreck happening where the lanes suddenly narrow. Because it takes EMS 20 minutes to get here, and 30 minutes to the closest cath lab, not counting the time in between, I don’t think I have much chance of surviving a heart attack.Now that I understand that, I’m trying to get some stuff done ASAP for my family before it is too late. Therefore, not much time to goof off. I’ll try to keep up on reading, and post occasionally. Thanks all for being my friends!

Rmom – I also got some rain here but don’t know how much. I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers!

If any of us were to wake up tomorrow in the same position as Mighty Mouse, we would have a very difficult time because our yesterdays would be very different. It is the only life she has known. It seems strange and possibly wrong to type it, but in many ways Mighty Mouse is blessed. She has grown up surrounded by love and people who go out of their way to make her happy. Her mind is capable of appreciating the little things that so many of us don’t seem able to even notice. Perhaps she is able to maintain her spirit and faith because she doesn’t think of what she doesn’t have but what she does.    Luv & Happiness

Uh-Oh!Well, actually I have been here long enough that we celebrated my birthday last year. If we know when someone’s birthday is, we try to wish them Happy Birthday.  Anyone want to volunteer their birthday? When one of Smiley Mom’s son’s got his gun for his birthday she took him out to teach him to shoot it using pumpkins and bottles of soda. The bottles of soda made nice big explosions and they had fun. So…….. I thought they might do it again.

You can always ask for clarification, if we are not too confuddled ourselves one or more of us may be able to clear it up of confuzzle it more. We try (or are trying).

Wow! Luv – A great suggestion, especially now that we’re out of the triple digits weather. But a slight correction – I still own my guns, but each son will get to inherit a handgun from me.I keep thinking about buying a flat screen TV, but haven’t done it. If we had one, I don’t think my guys would want to shoot it. All the other guns go to my husband for now. A couple rifles that I’ve never shot came from my side of the family, but were technically given to my husband by my mom. (She didn’t shoot, and at the time, neither did I.)

Rmom, take care of yourself. That’s certainly one of the drawbacks of living in a rural area. Of course, here it would be the traffic. But I am much closer to the hospital.

Here’s a video of our group shooting a TV – We had just left a little bit earlier, so we missed out on the fun. (If they had told us they were going to shoot it, we would have stayed!)

Sojo, I’m watching that game for the moment as well. Notre Dame actually won a game today against MSU. I was floored.

I received the Notre Dame greatest game collection today. I’m itching to watch one of those tonight.

Shoot my PT? Over my dead body! Hum…that would make an interesting funeral.

Slugs in a shotgun? Well, I have shot slugs, but they weren’t icky to start with. I wonder how they stuff those bodies inside the casing? I have heard of someone asking to get their ashes put in shotgun shells as a way to scatter them, but I’ve requested they dig a hole and bury mine. Plant a tree or a bush, and that works as a headstone.

Sojo, that was the best game they’ve played all year. They didn’t fold in the 4th. They actually finished out both halves. Though there were mistakes, it was pretty well played on both sides of the ball.

Luv would be jealous right now. There is a big thunderstorm just south of me. The rumble of the thunder is making the house vibrate. Tornado warning near Tulsa. Our county isn’t in the tornado watch area, and other than some much needed rain, the storm is missing us.

Rmom – The way it’s expanding (they said it would shrink after sunset) you may get some rain it looks like. If I’m lucky it might even get some here (I can just hear some thunder).

We had a few drops today. Nothing that really qualifies as rain.

We got about .3 in. rain before sunrise.
