Wanna bet some other hack will dig up the deleted file, and publish the novel under his own name, which becomes a Pulitzer Prize-winning best seller??

Couldn’t he just have submitted it to the publisher as “Written by Adam Newman, as inspired by AI” or something like that?

I wish I could push a button and make all AI go away like that.

Feh. Tech is always over-promising. How little RAM did Windows run in?

    I’m sorry Dave.

Rob should have had the AI singing “Daisy” as it faded out

AI can write sentences, but at this point it cannot make a coherent comment. AI cannot think like a human…yet.

For educators and publishers et. al., AI filters are becoming a norm of acceptance. These filters can recognize that the source of the story is often the bedlam of freely sourced written materials obtained by Google from myriad public and educational libraries as Google built and launched their ebook business. Market winners and proprietary intellect losers. Authors will be able to generate new prose from their styles for ever, and then maybe and ever. Just stylin’.

They may as well have kept it. By the time that book made it through two stages of editing, it would not have resembled the original creation anyway, and the AI would have gotten so depressed it would have taken to drink. Two birds, one stone. And, bonus, Adam and fam would have college and retirement funds for everyone in the house!

However, there may be a good story he can write about this experience. :)

Well, that was stupid. Publish the book, list AI as the author and explain the deal in a forward, and pocket the profits.
