Today’s strip reminds me of a “Scamp – Son of Lady and the Tramp” strip which I read in the 1970s. At the end, Scamp concluded, “These humans who knock balls into holes are a strange breed!”
Reminds me of my wife. She wants us to do a lot of hiking around for our health, but she insists I wait forever for that closer parking space rather than walk an extra 50 feet.
my three post offices are all about four miles away from me but none are walk able trips, no paths or sidewalks and one i have to cross an expressway. only one has a slightly safe route to ride a bike to
One of Dave Berg’s “Lighter Side” strips in Mad depicted an obviously fit man all prepared for a fifty-mile hike, except for his water purification tablets. In the last frame he drove half a block to the drugstore to get them.

Although the vet is close enough to walk to, we use the car. Don’t want the dogs to think a walk MIGHT end up at the vet’s.
