From Not Always Right: It’s Like Counting Ammo Before The Zombie Apocalypse

My sister and I are texting each other about supplies we have on hand during this time of panic buying.

Sister: “I just counted, and I have sixty rolls of TP.”

She’s not hoarding; she just grabs a pack every time she goes shopping so she’s never out.

Me: “I have seventeen rolls: a twelve-pack we picked up last week and seven rolls under the bathroom sink.”

    Sister: “Um… that’s nineteen rolls.”

Me: “Yay! I have two more rolls than I thought I did!”

    (NOT my story)

Worst & most dangerous part of this scenario is all the traffic signals that are out while driving home.

I know this is not how the comic was created, but the style reminds me of a scratch-art assignment in grade school. We drew an abstract design on the paper, colored it with many colors, then covered the entire page in black crayon. We then scratched our artwork into the black layer, uncovering the colors below. It was fun and I haven’t done something like it in decades. Time to break out the crayons again.

Good point Greg, people now don’t know how to function without power, cell or wi-fi service. And what will they do with themselves without TV.

Honestly, Toby and Garry should light candles and get out the D&D books. Either that or one of the card or board games the guys love.

Funny how people go there every time there’s a crisis.

“Cell service is wonky” is one reason why I still have a landline and why telephone companies should NOT be allowed to eliminate them! Power outages are only one of a number of things—including solar flares—that can disrupt cell phone service. Our communication network is too important to trust entirely to cell phones.
