People who believe cats kill babies for their milk are also dumb enough to think that if they take their baby outside on a windy day, the wind will suck the breathe out a babies lungs.
I really hate this outmoded thought about cats. My mother told me about Tiger. Tiger would be in my crib and would allow me to try and grab her tail. And when I did, she would gently pull it out and let me try again. This would keep going until I fell asleep and she would curl up next to me. And this was back in the early 70’s. My mother wasn’t afraid of the cat hurting me.
One thing I learned today about “bears” – they put things off to the last minute. I may have mentioned that I have a small village of “bears” ranging in size from about 1/4 inch to about 6 inches tall (rest of collection in the spare bedroom goes to about 3 ft tall).
In real life I am an accountant as was my dad. I found a bear figurine with the poor bear working with old fashion green and white stripe computer paper falling on the ground over his desk and I keep him on my computer and named him after my dad (who never used a computer to prepare taxes in his life). In the first months of the year this bear “sets up a popup tax prep office under the tree in the Teddy Village”. He was working with one couple today and about 25 other bears lined up as they have not yet had their income taxes prepared and time is running out.
Trust me – husband and I know that the bears are not really doing these things, but it is a good deal of fun for us and during the worst of Covid we had someplace we “could go out to” and visit with the bears. The Bears still have up their annual happy birthday to my husband banners on their tree (this was originally a second Christmas tree which only had bear ornaments – the village “grew” around it) – they do tend to do things last minute – perhaps due to how much else I have to do around the house.

Pets get a lot of bad raps, especially when it comes to babies and allergies.

Dogs kill babies too. Just use common sense and watch them for a while. Cats can be very caring with a bsby. Especially a female cat.

Poor bear. They didn’t say a thing about you though!

Yeah, cats are SO dangerous to have around little ones.
It’s so hazardous, my first word was ‘kitty’.
