Read an article from many years ago. A mailman was being threatened by a dog on his route. So he started bringing his German Shepherd with him on the route and the problem ceased, LOL! Fight fire with fire!
We still get our mail – bills and all – by USPS. We don’t like-trust getting them online.
Husband and I started working with computers back in the early 1970s – main frame with punchcards (Fortran) for me and later in college on a remote keyboard hardwired to the main frame (Basic) for both of us (he would copy my homework then – now he is in charge of our computers). We learned the dangers of computers being hacked back then – “not a question of if, it is a question of when” So we prefer not to do financial matters over the Internet. I still pay bills by check. We do keep one credit card’s allowed balance very low and if we have to charge something online or by telephone we use that account for same so that if someone does get the number they will not get much from the account.
I also know that I have friends-relatives who professionally work programming computers. They often keep back doors into major companies/ bridges, etc computers. They are honest people, but someone else do programming might not be.

“The cheque is in the mail” is a phrase you don’t hear anymore.

All my bills are online. It should be junk mail or magazines (we do still get a few of those in print).
