There is amazing and then there is getting up early amazing.

They’d never go fishing…

It’s pretty revealing – how old this strip is…“getting up early” for tickets that will sell out??? NOW it’s “enlist a master hacker with bot-computers to hack the ticket website, which will sell out in 12.6 seconds anyway”. Ordinary people are left paying the “ticket brokers” obscene prices (which include legally-defensible ‘fees’), with a set of tickets costing about the same as a decent used car. If anyone’s wondering: no, I haven’t gone to a concert in over 20 years.

This concert insanity has opened the door for small venue bands who show up on time and ofter play better music on real instruments, not engineered synthesized “music.” There are clubs all over the city that have live music that one can enjoy while relaxing with friends having drinks.

The concerts I remember best are the ones I wasn’t able to attend but had to imagine how wonderful they would be if I could.

Remember when people had personalities rather than “brands”.

I remember not only did you have to get up, you had to go to the venue to purchase the ticket.
