I went away on a six week trip and placed all of my house plants on my deck and just left all of my cacti in the house. When I returned all of the plants looked better than when I left them.

Good Morning, cleo, sugar & Fellow Baby

This sounds soooo much like my brother. My mom and I loved plants and had them growing all over our yards and in the house in pots. Neither of us could resist sticking a seed from an orange or a peach or a whatever to see if we could make it grow. Often it did.

But my Dad and brother have no affinity for plants. My brother bought several “fake” ivy plants in hanging baskets for his house and patio. He keeps trying to talk me into putting in a “fake” but beautiful, carefree, plastic lawn to replace the natural one I have.

I wish I could get fake grass.

I’m still waiting for the silk plants and flowers that don’t get dusty!

I mowed, whacked and edged yesterday. Walking on fake grass wouldn’t give me the pleasure of the feel of real grass on bare feet.
