In the family-owned company I worked at, “go with the flow” meant going along with family member decisions – no matter the consequences (or you were free to leave)… after Daddy retired and placed his kids in charge (who were lazy and had no qualifications other than being his kids) the consequences led to that company going bankrupt within four years.
