Watch out for flying gumballs.Good Morning Grog, Dry, sugie, StelBel and the rest of the CD band searching for stray gumballs!Happy Father’s Day to whom it applies.
OMG! You would not BELIEVE what happened today! I was in the backyard and under my Catalpa tree I saw this little grey and white object. At first I thought it was a baby opussom. Got closer and it was a little tiny kitten! Has it’s hair but eyes haven’t opened yet. I yelled for my son and hubby to come quick! Well, I called the animal rescue, which has an answering machine, and only reviews their messages once a day, called my Vet’s emergency number (He got back to me within 30 minutes) First thing he said to me was, “NOW WHAT HAVE YOU GOTTEN YOURSELF INTO”? LOL!! Anywho, he told me what to do, also told me the cold hard facts, which I like about him, because he does it in a very gentle way, but he is honest. He said the odds aren’t good, but not impossible. And my boys are like me, we have already become totally attached to this little being! Hubby is concerned and caring, but he is trying hard NOT to get attached. The doc says without seeing her, it is probably 10 to 14 days old, and the mother moved it for one of two reasons, She didn’t like the nest area she had them and started moving them or she felt this one was inferior and moved it. It was in the middle of our yard, under a tree. Hubby checked her to see if maybe a bird had gotten it and then dropped it. No claw marks scratches or anything. He has been checking the backyard to see if the mother has come back. We call her she, but I think she may be a HE, I have to try to get it to go to the bathroom after feeding and I think I felt a “doohickie” if you know what I mean! We have her in a pet taxi with blankets. If “she” makes it, PLEASE SAY A LITTLE PRAYER THAT SHE DOES,, I am concerned about my cat, MIttens, until this one gets big enough to fend for itself. My avatar Molly, will probably be a mom to this one! GEEZ, WHY DO I GET INTO THESE SITUATIONS??
My wife got her hand caught in a canning jar she was drying — took a lot of convincing to make her let go of the dishtowel — then her hand came out easily!Hi puppybreath and all you other CD fans!

Thanks StelBel, I did mean croquet. While I do crochet, I try to keep it off of the sidewalk.

x_Tech — It’s hard to crochet (or play croquet, for that matter) with glass splinters and gumballs flying about! LOL at your comment above.

Hey, whatever works. Since Fergus got loose from the gumball machine, I guess the threat of imminent pain and serious injury was what worked.
Frequently life is like that.
Hope everyone is having a great, fun day. Hi Stelbel, Cleokaya, Sugie, Dry, Grog, JPSteve,x_Tech, Lonewolf, Chikuku, Coyoty, Comicgos, Xane_T……..
