I love that the military is choosing to move out of or not open bases in states where abortion is illegal because the lack of that option affects military readiness. Why? Because the people in the military are largely of child-bearing age, and if they know they’re going to a place where it’s not an option, people may choose not to enlist in the first place. Doesn’t matter if it’s men or women: women may need an abortion. Men may have a spouse or partner who needs an abortion.

Wow. I didn’t see that coming. This may be the first time a genie has appeared in a cartoon about abortion. Edgy!

“But you’re magic, no one would ever know.”

“Huh? wha? Oh, I’m shorry, I’ve no idea what cher talking about. I’m too drunk to perform delicate magic right now.”

How about using birth control.

It’s legal in Florida if you are 6 weeks or less into a pregnancy. After 6 weeks you and the entire medical staff and any relative that drove you for one could be arrested for murder. The good news, after DeSantis tried to stop allowing it, the state supreme court said voters can vote to repeal the law and make it legal anytime before viability.

Tragically, wishful thinking isn’t enough to ensure women have the right to make their own decisions in those States.
