cleokaya (THE FLASH) said, about 22 hours ago@Citizen GROG!I had some time to kill this morning and found a recorded Led Zeppelin concert on Youtube that I attended in Vancouver, BC in 1970, plus a silent film of a rock festival I also attended in 1970, called Strawberry Mountain, a Green Peace Concert in Vancouver that I went to in 1970, with James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Phil Ochs, Chilliwack and Peter Asher. 1970 was a busy year for me and music.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~@ cleo How on earth can a film about a rock festival be SILENT???
Are ye deef??
Did you go to see Joni Mitchell et al, or did you go with them? Just being annoying. :-)
cleo & Shika, I missed that comment this morning. But I was in a hurry this morning. I wanted to get in a tad earlier than normal. I only commented on a few strips. I guess I missed that comment.
If you can weed out all the disco, the 70’s were a great time for music. I have a number of albums by Aerosmith, April Wine (in Canada), The Band, Bowie, Chicago, Clapton, CCR, The Doobie Brothers, The Eagles, ELO, Fleetwood Mac, Foreigner, Genisis, Heart, Led Zeppelin, Meatloaf, Pink Floyd, Queen, Ronstadt, Rush, Springsteen, Streetheart (Canada), Supertramp, Walsh & ZZ Top.
I’ve used a variation of this before, but I read this story to my 2 boys when they were little, and I still consider this book “Goodnight Moon” the VERY BEST in children’s stories, and Margaret Wise Brown’s books, the BEST CHILDREN’S BOOKS EVER WRITTEN! And she beat Dr. Suess by a mile, though his books were good too.
Yes happy Goodnight Moon is about a bunny going to bed.I thought of my sons back in the day, and you as well. It’s a children’s book, but I bought the Gold Edition some time ago to keep for myself, because it is so sweet and peaceful. Her stories were remarkable, so WONDERFUL for children though she never had any of her own. And she died way too young.
Hey Fellow Baby, FACE THE TRUTH, THE COWBOYS HAVE BEEN NOTHING SINCE JERRY JONES FIRED TOM LANDRY AND TOOK OVER THAT TEAM! And you are talking to someone who WAS PROBABLY THE MOST ARDENT, DEVOUT COWBOY FAN EVER when Tom Landry was the coach, and Roger Staubach, and then Danny White, and a multitude of other players in various positions were in the mix. I have HATED them since Jerry Jones did what he did and disrespected such a GREAT man as Tom Landry the way he did! Back in the day, I cried my eyes out when they lost the BIG ones, literally. Now I CHEER when they do.
Too much info, huh? Oh well, football fans are as bad as Soccer moms? Or baseball dads? Or …….just nuts? LOL!
Good Night Citizens of Dogs and lonely doggy hearts.
I have Dr. Suess classics in one book Grog. I bought it for myself. I also have my fairy tale books (Grimms Fairy Tales and others.) I guess that’s why I’m still a kid at heart. :-)
Well, Fellow Baby, I’m not going to quit the Cowboys because of a change of ownership, no matter how much I can’t stand the guy. He’s obvioulsy made his share of mistakes, but it is his moeny. I just wish he were an owner that lets people he hires run the team. As much as I like seeing Jimmy Johnson on NFL Sunday, I’d prefer to see him on the Dallas sideline. And I’d love to see Romo dealt to another team while they continue their search for a real quarterback.
And as I typed my rant, Romo went and proved my point yet again. The Cowboys will never be a good team for as long as he’s on it. If you haven’t already guessed, I am NOT a Romo fan.

Hi Stel, happy and nighthawks!
Is that your other car there, nighthawks?
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 12 years ago
What city is that Stel?
And I ish I could have gotten my boys to Legoland before they grew up!
GROG Premium Member about 12 years ago
After seeing the video by Walsh of In the City last night, I’d have to agree with nighthawks’ version, though StelBel’s is more pleasing to the eye.

I’m tired too, Shika, but I think I’ll watch the Cowboys embarass themselves a little more before I turn in.
This could be a repeat of the Seattle game. They’re inept on offense and the defense is being walked all over.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 12 years ago
I’ll be up for a little while. I am just getting ready here. I am listening to last night’s classical selections. No wonder I am relaxed.
GROG Premium Member about 12 years ago
I’m not familiar with that, Fellow Baby. We were a Dr, Seuss household. I particularly recall The Cat In the Hat & Green Eggs & Ham.

Well if they have to lose to anyone, I’d rather it be the Bears than the Redskins or Steelers.
