(“You’ve heard the saying that the Earth is mostly water. But what percent of Earth is water? Salt water oceans make up 71% of the Earth’s surface, which the other 29% made up of the Earth’s continents and islands. But there are also freshwater lakes and glaciers that cover the Earth’s surface.”)
(“Of all the water on Earth, 97.5% is contained within the oceans, while the remaining 2.5% is freshwater lakes and frozen water locked up in glaciers and the polar ice caps – almost 69% of the fresh water on Earth is ice. If you could melt all the water on Earth, and the Earth’s surface was perfectly smooth, the water would rise to an altitude of 2.7 km.”)

So, then…of course the citizen fish (and all the other denizens of the deep) vote! They have to maintain Law and Order ….just like the rest of us!
I was impressed with Benjamin Scott ! I emailed him yesterday morning, and he responded with an apology very soon after, as he did here.
Hey…we all make mistakes….the trick is to learn from them and not repeat them (and maybe to take a second look at “friends” who thought that that strip was funny?).
Thanks for letting us know, so we could help get him back on track. I’ll add his strip to my queue to check out for awhile.
Good (late) morning.Left Happy at the vet this morning.I’m siting (alone) at a very nice coffee shop called Pacific Grind in Taft.Later, I am going to be a tourist, and watch some glass blowers here in town ply they’re trade.I’ve watched them before. Fascinating.
No, I don’t like chocolate, Shika, but I don’t normally care for sweets in general. I prefer foods with a spicy kick. It goes a lot better with beer. I’m not much into fast food either. If I go to a fast food joint, it’s out of necessity.
I just recently bought an indoor smoker. Among other things, I’m going to try my hand at recreating a Montreal-style old-fashioned smoked meat sandwich. I’m just waiting on getting all the necessary brine ingredients that I couldn’t get in my local grocer. It may take a few tries to get it right, but I’m up to the task. It’s one of the few foods that I actually miss from the old home town.
Happy, When the time is right for you, I hope you consider rescuing one, or better yet two, animals (to keep each other company when you are away from them). You and they will be quite happy, I am sure!
The pain hurts, but when I look back on all my pets over these many years, I wouldn’t have it any other way, they gave us SUCH JOY when they were here, and we gave them all a good life they would not have found otherwise. Talk about spoiled!!! LOL!
@HappyMoving to Oregon at least located you to a place where you wanted to be. Mourn, find peace and recover. You love where you now are in the PNW. In time you will embrace life and find your place.
@HappyRemember, I went through a very similar thing as you. I took care of and lost my mother, than shortly thereafter my dad and thane my dog and pal Kaya. Now, I have a lovely wife. I have since loved and lost another wonderful dog and have another dog whom I love and worry about. That is life and we embrace the moments we have and appreciate the moment and the love we feel as we experience it. Everything is temporary and we just have to enjoy it while it is here.

Thinking of you Happy! I posted a cute picture last night of two teddy bears hugging. I see Photobucket or someone removed it.
Stel, am I going to have to update to their new system in order to keep the photos I paste?

I hope it’s as simple as all that, cleo. If what you’re saying is true, Penny will just have to be more careful on your hard wood.
I hope the vet has some good news for you, Happy.
Those are some interesting pictures, StelBel.

I’m off to make a chocolate cake. I know that Grog doesn’t like Chocolate, but anyone who does is welcome to the finished product.
But just in case I take too long, I’ll say good night and leave the cake on the counter for you to help yourselves.
