Heard it lately in a commercial on TV. Just can’t remember what the ad was about. I was surprised. It used to be considered so vulgar and now seems generally acceptable. That said, I just made a comment on another strip where I wanted to use the word dam n. And just like here, it said the word “goes against their standards”, so I had to separate the “m” and “n” to get it through. Sucks.
I believe the first time I heard it was on Newhart. To soften it, it was more like “It sucks rope.” I’m sure I was irreversibly harmed. From laughing hard enough to spill some of my beer. Thankfully the Taco Doritos were unscathed.
