My wife’s hair is about 3 feet long and she keeps it wrapped up on top of her head. She goes to the barber and gets three inches cut off every once in a while and I can’t tell the difference. I wish she’d let it down but she says it’s too much trouble now. She used to have beautiful flowing hair.
I was keen enough to notice my wife wearing a necklace just the other day. I asked her how long she was wearing it and she said that she just put it on that day. The next day she wasn’t wearing it but was scratching around her neck. Apparently, her neck didn’t like that necklace, and no, I didn’t get that one for her. I have given her 14k solid gold necklaces in the past but she hasn’t worn any of them in years.
Every time I had my hair done I had to mention it to my ex, who never noticed, and he always said the exact same thing, “It will grow back.” I don’t miss that routine.

A reputable salon would have texted him a warning.

Just about the time when you think you have it all figured out you’ll come to realize that you don’t.

My wife has long straight hair and I trim it occasionally. I use to dye it for her, but she decided to stop.

At least he tried. But did he prove his point to Nelson? I am thinking no.

I need to find a new hairdresser. Two that I used to patronize have shut down.

I like the use of shadows & gradients in the Sunday strip. It gives it subtle pizzazz.

I knew it … I have her number … like me, she’d have made a great and powerful AT&T middle manager.

Like Roscoe’s expressions throughout this exchange – especially the last panel scratching when he is caught out!
