They’ve gone from speculating on werewolves yesterday to speculating on zombies today. Too bad that the werewolf theme didn’t develop.

I can see Wallace, mudlarking along the beach, he sees the brick and thinks, “I bet Mrs. McIntosh would like that!”

My favorite thing about Wallace is how he sees, and thinks, of each person in his life as a being important. He cares for them all.

I like the respectful way Ms. MacIntosh responded to Wallace’s gift.

Wallace has a very cool teacher.

Mrs. Macintosh—-everything a good teacher should be.

I am SO tired of zombies in pop culture, but I like the teacher being cool about the weird gift.

Leave it to Wallace to look at something that others would consider junk and see it as useful or just cool enough to be worth keeping.

As they say, “It’s the thought that counts.” Wallace, in his way, is a very thoughtful kid.
