Sophie, sweetheart, I think you need a hug, a deep breath, and a good book. Preferably one without romantic drama. You should keep the beautiful key, though! Nice find! Are there more?
Wesley’s first love will always be cheese, and there’s no way any woman can hope to compete with that. Unless, of course, that woman happens to be the Goddess of Cheese.
Wonder what’s going on with the key… It reminds me of the cat-ankh amulet that led Sophie to personify her fear and discover her “Existential Dread” character in the Tusslemania arc. Will this key open up an understanding of the True Nature of Love? Will she learn that although television wrestling’s all fantasy theatrics, love ain’t quite like that?
OT: Georgia posted a comic of herself as a kind of moth “I’m sharing a rare personal comic today. This is one of the comforting things I like to imagine when I’m feeling blue, like Sophie is in this week’s BCN strips. Alternately, sometimes when I am sad or stressed or trying to fall asleep, I imagine there is a light house on the Moon and I’m its keeper. That’s an old daydream-game from when I was little. Maybe I’ll do a comic of that one day too!I do have some plans to bring this story into a future BCN project, but it’s not related to the comic itself. And it’s not very high stakes—just something fun and light my best friend Preston and I hope to make happen for BCN-verse in the future. (…It may have something to do with a certain curmudgeonly snapping turtle we all know and love). Sorry for only having vague hints to share, but early stages of low stakes funsies projects are like that… Do you have a comforting thought or place you go to when you feel blue?”
Lemme knows when Kooky Kitty snaps outta it and come to senses again and realise she belong to kitty species and not some ferret creature from tumbuktoo. Maybe kitty take too many bumps on head during them wrestling matches and gone all kooky now.
She looks crestfallen at Tommy’s remark. Poor dear Sophie. Run, Sophie, Run, into the arms of someone who appreciates you and your art! (Be ready, Gutter!)
Wondering about that key. It surely has some significance. Georgia rarely puts something like that in the comic that doesn’t get used or needed later. (Remember Baba returning the thimble that Thimblefist used 3 YEARS before it came into play during the mole wars???!!!!)

Wesley is more like a man of metatwos…

Well, at least she’s having fun with the drama.

And Tommy, that would be “a mustelid of metaphors.”

Yeah, I don’t think Wesley is all that much into subtle codes . . . cheese, yes, codes, no.

Well, they say home is where the heart is. But in this case I’d say Wesley’s heart is in cheese. Gutter, on the other hand…..

Wesley seems more like a boy than a man.

Sad door and broken heart windows! But Sophie, it is not Wesley who is suffering the pangs of dispriz’d love.

Or is it just the key to the cheese cabinet?

Aw, Sophie. Don’t you know your heart is in the Gutter?

So someone finally steps up to at least try and break it to her. Hopefully.

Sophie’s reminding me of English teachers who insist that something in a book is symbolic when it isn’t.

Wesley is a Man Of Cheese. So much cheese.

Gah! Don’t give cheese to ferrets!

Metas… What are they? What are there purpose?
Can someone tell me just what is a metaphor?
Katzen1415 7 months ago
Yes, Sophie, and if you somehow imagine cheese as a symbol for you then you’re there!

Poor Sophie! But…shy do you need a ferret when Tommy is so adorable!!!

No Tommy, I think he is a ferret who’s on “for-it”!
(I’ll let my self out!)

As I’ve said before, Sophie, Wesley doesn’t deserve you. You are sweet, poetic, loving and lyrical, and he is a cheese-obssessed twit.

Sophie, Sophie, this isn’t the relationship you think it is.

Am I blue? Am I blue?
Ain’t these tears in these eyes telling you?
Am I blue? You’ll be too
If your schemes, like your dreams, done fell through
Was a time I was his only one
Now I am the sad and lonely one
Oh yes I am
Was I gay? Till today
Now he’s gone and we’re through
Am I blue?
Was a time I was his only one
Now I am the sad and lonely one
I’m such a lonely one
Was I gay? Till today
Now he’s gone and we’re through
Am I blue?
Performed by Ray Charles, who happens to be blind. I think Stevie fakes it, but Ray really is blind.

The last sentence clearly states that he’s happy, so that line is irrelevant.

Perhaps some one in the orb has access to a heath or a bit of dark moor and swirling fog that Sophie could use to wander-brood upon…?

Ah, Keats! “La Belle Dame Sans Merci”
“what can ail thee, wretched wight,
Alone and palely loitering; The sedge is withered from the lake,
And no birds sing."
