Yes, it’s easy to lose sight of what you’re doing in the heat of the chase. However it gets old, very old, having you destroy things. Yes, you will always be loved, but she’s very disgusted. That means that maybe she will be putting you outside more. You need to start paying attention to what you are doing. Pay. Attention. Starting. Now! Sausage treats could also be at stake.
That’s the trouble with dogs. Right now, mine is trying to tear up the pine straw under the azaleas to get to the bone meal in the fertilizer I just put down.
Dog experts will explain that reprimands only work if you catch the bad behavior while it’s happening. Otherwise your dog has no idea what you’re mad about.
My terrier mix, after being banished, would do a commando crawl across the floor and ooze onto my lap. My Besenji mix, will jam her guilty face between the chair arm and my leg and give me puppy eyes. Our miniature red shorthair dachshund just jams her face in mine, and tries to ‘deepthroat’ me via my nose.
Our shepherd-collie cross ate the dog-sitter’s sandal, nibbled off the fringe on our East Indian rug, and chewed a hole in the drapes. She got to be the most mind-reading dog imaginable. We still miss her.
Can we all agree that gocomics should start running the latter strips when Fred and his couple were more congenial? If we all call for more recent strips it might catch their attention.

We humans get angry at bad behavior Fred, but it usually doesn’t last long when it comes to our pets. Husband’s are held to higher standards

Another one I can’t give a “like” to. If you own dogs, you just understand that things do happen.

Fred, you can soften anyone’s heart, but maybe, just maybe, you could also take it a little easy on the curtains.
