That evil cat is in the back yard again and this time, he’s wearing armour and throwing doggy treats.

Some people indulge their dogs by buying them tiny cans of fancy dog food…

ounce per ounce, costing more than a restaurant meal.

Other people buy their canine pals soft, hand-knit sweaters and jeweled leather collars.

But nothing says pampering a precious pooch like the purchase of…. um… deadly weapons…(??). …er… wouldn’t you agree?

    No? Good.

What is wrong with this picture?

Have Clara and Claude never seen the nice selection of dog toys available at Petco, or PetSmart?

Surely, there’s an even more exclusive pet boutique somewhere in Cleveland, if a higher price makes a Kong or a rubber chicken more desirable.

Heck, if her sophistication rules out typical canine indulgences, a big screen TV would do?

    Just say NO to WMDs.

Wait… I forgot…. they’ve never heard, or used, that word.

    C’mon, Cliffords…. you can do it…

put your tongue on the back of your top teeth, expel some voiced air….. round your lips…. that’s the way….

    Nnnn….ohhhh…..

    You’re getting there….

In the Ballard St ‘toon, above… I’m thinking Arthur had best be careful…

Milo’s expression says he’s starting to wonder whether his owner might be a secret squirrel….

In which case, in accordance with the Canine Code, barking will be required….

    and if this continues….

    eventual attack!

It’s not that Milo wants to attack his beloved Arthur, who gives him his dinner…. and Liva Snaps and ear scritches….

but the Code is the Code.

Al regarded delivering his merchandise via air mail – that was not taken well, and the delivery drones he tried later kept getting shot down.

Took down all the wind chimes, etc that hang outside, brought in all the stuff from the porch as well as the glider cushion and the cushion in the dog house. Now just have to wait for Dorian to come and (hopefully quickly) go. I’m in Southeast VA so the worst will be Friday and hopefully not terrible. Expecting tropical storm winds with 4-8" of rain and some storm surge. No way to know how much for now. Have a generator so as long as the cable internet stays on shouldn’t be too bored. Waiting to see if work will be open on Friday or not, probably won’t know until tomorrow.
