How tall is Gladys?

Brutus and I are the same height. But I, after the diet, weigh 205 pounds. My doctor says I’ve gone from the “obese” to “overweight” category. I don’t think that’s a real compliment.

He weighs more than 230, but he is accepting that measurement.

That extra inch won’t change the bad news.

Shouldn’t he look fatter than that? 230 is huge for 5’ 9”.

Dang!! Of all days I forget to wear my platform flipflops!

You lose a couple inches as you age (I hate that! I was short enough already!) but he’s only middle aged so he’s not old enough for that to happen yet. Still it would be a good idea to lose some weight now before he gets older.

he’s 5’ 10" by a hair…

I’ve found that we shorten with age, Brutus. That’s life, brother.

It took me 50 years but I have finally reached the height of 5’ 10 1/2". I haven’t updated my license, it still says I’m 6’ 1". Between my thinning disks (think the thickness of a crepe) and the abnormal curvature in my lumbar region I have finally perfected my John Wayne walk without acting. I won’t list the details of my diagnosis but the first thing listed on my doctor’s order for PT is “Put him on the rack! (traction)”.

I’m more surprise that his weight is that low… :J

230 pounds? I don’t think so. Looks more like 190.

Ohh NO! I got 4 pounds on Brutus! And I used to be 5’10 as well! I got a little more hair then that but NOT MUCH!

Brutus and I could be twins height and weight wise, except I don’t have hair on my head.

I suffer with you Brutus. 6’1 back in the day but degenerative spinal condition and surgeries dropped me down to 5’10 while waistline went the other way. 29 inch to 38 and was 44. Good grief. Maybe I can buy some big lifts for my shoes like John Wayne did to raise my height back up? How in the world do ladies walk on 7 and 9 inch heels?

The top of your head, Brutus. That one hair doesn’t count.

The difference would be minimal and he could still afford to lose some weight. However, he does carry his weight well. Must be the artist…….

Oh my that’s hilarious! Brutus figures he should get some benefit from his hair (singular!). Given how much Gladys towers over him she must be 6’ plus. Which gives Wilberforce a better gene pool than I had height wise and a chance to be tall. No comment on the intellectual power of his gene pool…

It’s the phenomenon, and denial of it, that causes us old old(er) guys to hike up our pants to our armpits.

She was so polite, she could have said “I’m sorry but you’re fat”.

My husband was measured in his oncologist’s office by a new nurse, who may be 5’ tall, maybe. He is 6’6". She stretched as far as she could standing on her tippy-toes but could only reach up to 6’2", so she declared that was how tall he was. We laughed about it with his oncologist who told us that she really misses her old nurse who retired.
