I miss when TV was free. Some rabbit ears, and an antennae on the chimney. I’m paying over $200 a month now to watch TV and I really only watch about 5 channels. And sometimes Netflix, which lately has nothing of interest to me.

    I’m with you Lennie

I do like that the sports news on my Google News feed is grouped together, it’s easier to scroll past it all at once

Reading this more than 20 years later is sometimes fascinating. Also makes me feel old

Here, I had to give up TCM because it’s on a sports tier I’d have to pay a couple of hundred a year for. Xfinity sucks.

Don’t forget the 20 religious channels, the 15 channels that broadcast in some language other than English…

I’m not sure which is worse – the old ‘bundle’ deals or what we have now: want to watch Star Wars things – subscribe to this streaming service. Want to watch Star Trek things – subscribe to this other streaming service. Lather, rinse, repeat…

    1) From Google: In 1929, Edwin Hubble provided the first observational evidence for the universe having a finite age. Using the largest telescope of the time, he discovered that the more distant a galaxy is from us, the faster it appears to be receding into space. This means that the universe is expanding uniformly in all directions.

    2) Yes. And no. And “Huh?”☺

    3) This one’s easy! Because the Cable Companies like money… ☺

Good question. Simply sign up for the simplest you can find and be happy with it. The time that you no longer waste on streaming etc gives you time to enjoy life.

Cable company started sending me paper statements for reasons. Noticed a line item – approx $25 per month for local sports coverage. Apparently, the local millionaires chasing a ball on a court/field aren’t rich enough. So, I cancelled cable and now just pay for internet and a few streaming services and am saving buckets of money.
