Quite a few years ago, I took my three daughters to see Coldplay at a local amphitheater. This was right before they got huge and started doing arena shows. In any event, the audience was rather diverse, definitely skewing to the twenty somethings, but one guy stood out in particular. He was extremely tall and had a very high mohawk haircut. A few days later, I was in a record store on the Ohio State campus and that guy was there. I recognized him right away. To my surprise he looked at me and said hey didn’t I see you at the Coldplay concert. I said that I was and that I had noticed him, but how could he possibly have recognized me. At the time I was in my late 50s and I’m not the tallest guy in the world. He said I thought it was cool that an old guy was there with his daughters!

my mother said that about the people I went to my first concert with ( The Young Rascals). Now, we’re all parents and grandparents. Was she right?
