It’s that time of year. I have over 250 plants in the other room getting ready for the season of planting. I keep trying to reduce the number, but never seems to work. And ALL are still alive.

I used to have a green thumb. My plants all grew wild and then my wife passed. Now all my plants die quickly. I assume it is my mood. Perhaps she just needs to cheer up.

People make fun of those who talk to their plants as if the plants were people. It is true that talking to plants is healthy for the plants – what we exhale plants inhale and visa versa – and talking to plants is soothing, focuuses on them and we are more apt to notice disease, pests, water needs quicker and calms our nerves, and makes it, etc. A win-win situation.

My parents were like that – my dad could grow award-winning plants with no problem at all – mom couldn’t get near a plant without it dying.

Maybe get her a plastic plant, see if that works.
