I keep saying to people that “later the same day” is different in comics, or in a soap opera, or in a book…but these people are still so impatient.
Speaking of soaps, I used to watch “All My Children” when my kids were really little, way back in the later ’70’s and early ’80’s, then I went “back to work” in 1987…and in that soap one day could stretch to half a year or longer, and the only way you could tell that it was still the same day is that the actors wore the same clothes during all that time…
I really love the ones where Gene steps up as Kevin’s stand-in dad – taking him to wrestling and camping and so on.That boy’s entire life is going to be better for it.

“. . . switching bodies for a day”?? Why does it seem more like forever?

Probably a couple days. But “for a day” is idiomatic.

A day? Feels like nearly two months.

I like the way Tauhid is wrapping it up, rather than just abruptly switching to another arc or a joke strip.

For a day may be like the current generations “for a minute” to mean an indeterminate (sometimes years) period of time.

Haha! That’s awesome; so mom’s cooking and Kyles feet cancel each other out. Who da thunk?
