Don’t the new rules mean college players make lots of money through endorsements nowadays? Only cause I heard on the news players not entering the NBA draft because they would make more money in college.
P3: He’s right you know. Why spend time drawing four different panels when you can use one and get paid for the whole day? Side note- I can’t draw anywhere near this good.
Cue Marlon Brando “ I could’ve been a contender!” 1 % of High School stars play in college, 1% of college players make it to the NBA That percentage is actually too high but used to show how unlikely a high school player makes it to the NBA
Looks like there was supposed to be some kind of narration in P1 and P3 that got left out. Hmm, what did it say? And speaking of saying, I’m saying that today’s Mopped Up Thorp is now online.
“I’m ready for the League”…said no HS basketball player looking to play pro ball ever. Again Henry shows his complete lack of knowledge and even basic research into what he’s writing.
The NBA rookie minimum salary is about $1.1 million. So, if Rod’s good enough to go to the NBA, he should go. Even after taxes, that’s plenty to pay for a college education if he only lasts one year.
Don’t forget all players have to pay a Jock tax for every game and most young players spend it as fast as they make it thinking they will last forever and they don’t.

Which league, the League of Extinguished Gentlemen?

Well, first Rod, you need to find someone willing to pay you to play.
Second, never mind injuries, the probability of you being able to realistically command life changing money as an unknown commodity is extremely low.
Third, you have to pass a physical. Your heart condition my negate any chance you might have had.

Uh, once his heart problem is noticed, even “ the league” won’t want him. This kid is a clown.

Student-athlete who is that good, ready to go pro, MHS barely got past Valley Tech? Leo Atazhoon could’ve made that shot but he trusted his teammate.

Wow! Four panels in a modern comic strip. Extraordinary. Sure, they’re all the same illustration, but still…

If basketball doesn’t work out, Rod could be a ventriloquist. I never saw his lips move.

Yeah, and with that attitude I’ll bet you’ll be welcomed by the veterans with open arms and won’t get the Tony Kukoc at the Olympics treatment.
