Call the insurance companies and see if anyone reported hoof prints in their windshield.

Police in these towns let the deer die so they can haul away the body to a butcher and they can get some great meals from hit deer.

As if any Cop would care about a deer in an accident – except for a bullet to the head and a meat inspection to have a barbecue at the sheriff’s office.

My close encounters with deer have never achieved contact. Thank goodness. One time I was close enough to a whitetail buck to watch his nostrils flare as he caught my bike’s scent. Then levitated up the side of an embankment. Another time I stopped safely to let a doe cross. Halfway across she was joined by her yearling daughter. Beautiful. Then watching them move through the tall grass on the other side. The yearling couldn’t see over the grass so she kept bouncing up to see where they were going. Unforgettable.
