Some years ago, musician and educator Carver Blanchard was similarly let go from a position at the Smithsonian Institution, where he had sung early and traditional American music while accompanying himself on the lute. Lovely performances of a lovely repertoire, but one I’m not sure really originated on the lute.

Careful Bob. Not only does Finn like the lute, he also likes to loot.

Reminds me of an old “Wizard of Id” cartoon. “Hand over your loot!” “This is my lute.” “What did you do, knock over a music shop?”
