Those things can be a little dangerous. Of course when I was a kid they were very industrial and older kids could get them spinning really fast. When you got ’’slung’’ off, you were landing on hard dirt and gravel. Good times!
When I went on an orientation flight in a jet fighter, a guy handed me a clear plastic bag in case I got airsick. I put it in my shirt pocket. In the process of strapping me into the ejection seat, the sergeant pulled out the bag because it would be under a strap. I don’t know what he did with it but I never saw it again. Fortunately, I did not get airsick. We were warned we would have to clean out the cockpit, if we vomited.
The British version of those is usually a fair bit bigger with a circular seat in the middle – you sit down, facing outwards, and then try to hang on to hand-holds as it tries to fling you off. I’m not sure if that makes it easier or harder.

Good opportunity here to learn a little basic physics. The closer you are to the center of rotation, the less centrifugal force you feel.
