I just visited Nurnberg the other day and they highlighted the Rise of the Third Reich. It involved misinformation, the demonization of non-Aryans, a cult worship of a leader, a strong appeal to nationalism over individual rights, emphasis on large rallies, imprisonment of pollical rivals, the use of violence to obtain political objectives.

Substitute “illegals” for non-Aryans and it’s today’s headlines.

I believe that in a democracy that 51% or more of the people rule.

In an oligarchy there are less than 10% of the people that are the rulers.

I agree. Wait a while and an oligarch would want to be sole ruler. A dictatorship is coming

It all depends where one is in the oligarchy like communism, Liberalism and Mr Jill’s sock drawer.

In a pure democracy he’s correct. But not in a constitutional republic.

That’s the trouble with these two forms of government: noone knows what they are. Democracy focuses on rule by all of the people while oligarchy focuses on rule by the wealthy few. Currently, Biden publicly pushes democracy while Trump privately pushes oligarchy.

This is why [insert your most hated political system here] is so evil.

Truth be told, oligarchies are made up of power brokers who know how to exploit any political system for their own purposes. The question is: which system is most difficult for them to exploit? Which system provides the greatest accountability against the oligarchy? Whichever system that is, I guarantee the power brokers will working against any implementation of that system. That system is [insert your favorite system here because you imagine that the power brokers are the rich people you most hate who you imagine are working against your favorite system].
