The optometrist made a bad diagnosis. Anyone Andy sees going into a pub is immediately his friend.

Figured that no good boozer would notice a fellow alchy and not that dish. Best lookin’ gal Reg has drawn in decades.

If green suit guy can’t see past the end of his nose, it’s not because of poor eyesight, it’s because of the size of his nose.

Are the characters always drawn from the side, or is it just more obvious in this one?

Andy’s slipping – He didn’t hit on the hot chick or even take time to offer her a drink. Sad.

The art of mooching sharpens other senses too.

Andy’s vision must be extremely good.

…And he can bum a drink off his friend in that pub!

His eyes are attuned to easy ale the way an osprey can spot a fish in the water. And, he doesn’t have to go in the canal to get a drink.

How does he see anything with that cap (capp?) over his eyes?

He spotted his pal that buys rounds, he’s in a hurry to be in the first one.

Maybe Andy’s like my mother, read a street sign down the block, but couldn’t read the newspaper in her lap.

Always looking to cadge a pint. Or three.

Yet failed to espy this magnificent pair.

If his eyesight is that good, I wonder why he needed to go to the opticians in the first place then?

I recall Flo having glasses in a Smythe strip and she got the shock of her life when she saw Andy unshaven. Haha. That was a legendary strip.

Well, there’s no Guinness at the optician’s place, so…

Andy has specialized cadging senses.

And I’m certain he’s seen two people considering his alcohol fueled double vision!
