Always wondered why clams were happy. They do have a nice secure home and food is at hand. I guess that makes them happy.

In case you didn’t know, the original saying was “Happy as a clam at high tide.”
People think Clams are happy because their Shells always look like they are Smiling.
But, like Clowns, they cry on the Inside.
“Happy as a clam at high tide”. As you can see a low tide is really a bummer for them.
I tried digging for clams once.
That’s an awful lot of work for half a mouthful of Clam.
