Hope his gun is modified to work for an anthro…..if they call his bluff. All anyone can do here is check the area for any others, gather any gear, and move on….which is back the way Wally/Cracky came from….back to Endtown. Eden is gone, Unity is gone….it’s probably all that’s left……and it’s in crisis due to the night of the carnivores.

Oh and don’t forget Topsiders here are very hostile and there’s that satellite that’s up there…..then there’s the matter of Wally escaping Endtown…..destroying an elevator…..causing a lot of damage….but hey….. still alive!

Terence’s gun will work for him. Terence worked hard negotiating it, but it was happy to kill lots of monsters while the guys were trying to get to the Topsider control room. It even worked with Duffy holding it. I’m surprised it didn’t say anything just now.

I really wouldn’t mess with Terence right now. He’s a little upset … like very close to losing it …

As for proof that Eden is gone, perhaps there is a spot where they can look along the cliff for the windows that we saw (one in Wally’s apt. and another in a hallway. Presumably there were even more. The cliff should no longer have the windows.

Vet is right about the topsider surveillance. They will have noted a significant disturbance at the site of the base. The mutts and drones will/are on their way… And Wally no longer has any dittos to create camouflage… as far as we know.

Neathery’s rabbit characters seem prone to anger… Jacob, for example …

Wait… he was just getting ready to go to bed? And Kirby said it had been Wally’s absence had been for hours…

To repeat what I wrote 2 episodes ago:

    ….

We have the Dec 9, 2019 scene with Kirby et al. with waterspouts visible out the window.

We see a clock that reads about 3:01. (Thanks for pointing to that scene.) I had wondered at the significance of that clock four and a half years ago… We must give Aaron Neathery credit!

    ….

The guy with the watch said the time was 3:06 when the explosion happened. So it now looks like maybe the day after the the Dec 9, 2019 scene … maybe more, since we don’t know now exactly what the Marxes did with these people after collecting them, nor the timeline for them ending up on the beach. They did not seem to be present when the Marxes did their raised canes salute at the beach with waterspouts.

Did anyone else notice the tiny object in the first panel, half way up the cliff, that looks like … maybe a flying drone?

The wives and children are gone – let’s move on…

Not so easy, even with a crazed peacock pointing a haunted disintegrator gun at you.

Aaron never quite lets you forget that this world is not just bizarre, it’s also tragic.

Saw some discussion earlier about time.

This saga began 09-Nov-2018. We saw a clock set to 3:01. We learned a couple weeks ago that the current time is 3:06.

Most of all, we have Kirby’s words, that Wally and company have been gone only a few minutes – though it seemed like years to her (and was at least 5 years for us).

On another note: Good to see Terrence stepping up. Up to now, it often seemed like he was just “along for the ride.” That said, others have questioned his loyalty – a former topsider who changed against his will.

But didn’t they all? Aren’t all the “mutants” in this story, didn’t they all change against their own will?

I’m thinking only Jim and Sarah changed voluntarily.

And we saw how that turned out.

There’s been a lot of discussion about timelines and the significance of 3:01 so I’m just going to give my take on how this all went down.

Sep. 23, 2019 – Wally says his goodbye to Kirbee

Sep. 25, 2019 – Chic gives his talisman to Duffy

Sep. 30 2019-Nov. 29, 2019 – Wally, Duffy, and Alan spend an unknown amount of time dealing with security, getting to the surface, walking the beach, and fighting the “ghost” (Amesworth) before witnessing their reality beginning to collapse. It could have been a couple hours. Please note that the stars are out as they walk the beach, meaning it’s nighttime in Eden by the time they reach Amesworth.

    Dec. 6, 2019 – Amesworth is ad-libbing a portal on the beach.

Dec. 9, 2019 – Kirbee looks out the window at the cataclysm. The clock reads 3:01. At this point all the characters are in the same reference frame and possibly a couple hours have passed since Team Wally left Kirbee and Chic.

Dec 11, 2019-Jun 16, 2020 – Team Wally and Amesworth enter a portal and explore. Hours/Days have gone by in their reference frame.

Jun 18-Jul 4, 2020 – Marx bros rescue the chosen ones of Eden. Guessing it’s still 3:01 Eden time since Chic is still held in Kirbee’s embrace from Dec 9, 2019.

Jul 7, 2020-May 22, 2023 – After hijinks with Eye, colony 19, Marx, the well of souls, and several toon universes, Team Wally arrives back in Eden.

May 22, 2023-present – By the end of this block of strips, all surviving toon characters from Eden are now in the Endtown frame of reference. If Team Wally arrived in Eden at 3:01 Eden time an instant after the Marx bros were there, they would have had 5 minutes to escape assuming Eden’s time frame aligned with Endtown’s. It’s possible it didn’t; one plot device the author could use to explain it would be to have Eden’s time contracting slightly as the implosion was taking place. This would give Team Wally more than 5 minutes in Eden and still allow them to reach the other survivors by 3:06.

Uh, oh. Could be trouble. From the internet in our continuum: 1) “It is important to give peacocks space, move slowly and calmly, avoid startling them with quick motions, and keep children away as their small size may be perceived as a threat.” 2) “If challenged, avoid eye contact and back away slowly with your face protected.” (web: avianbliss, are-peacocks-aggressive) I don’t see any advice for encountering one that is armed with a Zero Gun.

I have said this before and been chided for it, so flame suit on. i have all 4 print volumes of the series but I think the last of these printed volumes stop with comics 5-8 years ago. Mr. Neatherly must have enough back comics for another print compilation. I have followed this for a very long time and the print books were invaluable for all the back story I missed. The summaries that are in the comments are also helpful but eventually get lost or forgotten. So, I know I am not the only one waiting for another volume. Please, soon.
